Golf Course – The Southern Highlands Golf Club is home to one of the country’s top public golf courses.

Medical Center – There are two nearby medical centers, so you won’t have to worry about going very far in the case of an emergency.

Parks There are six parks in the Southern Highlands community where you can host a family bbq, play some basketball, or take the kids to the playground or splash pad. There are two dog parks and parks with water features and walking trails.

Schools Private: Southern Highlands Preparatory School opened in 2003. It has an annual tuition of $15,059.

Public: There are quite a few public schools in the Southern Highlands. They are: · Charles and Phyllis Frias Elementary School · Dennis Ortwein Elementary School · Evelyn Stuckey Elementary School · Lois and Jerry Tarkanian Middle School (located outside of Southern Highlands) · Desert Oasis High School (located outside of Southern Highlands)
